Updated Schedules

I have rescheduled the cancelled games and will post the new schedules on MONDAY, March 27. PLEASE check your schedules CAREFULLY! I had to move some games around to prevent certain teams from playing 4 times in one week....

Why It's Hard to Find a Parking Space

The Spring 2006 season numbers:

A total of 23 teams, with 290 players.

Coaches List

I have put in a link (it's over there on the right) which gives the names and phone numbers of our coaches, grades P/K through 4th.

St. Patrick's Day

As St.Patrick's Day approaches I am reminded of my many soccer playing ancestors. They could dribble pretty well without looking at the ball. Unfortunately, their curly shoes made shooting a problem.

Head Referee Doug Hayward would like to remind you that new rules are in place for dealing with spectators who question a referee's call.

Thanks, Lynne

Thanks to the College of Business "Digital Media Specialist" Lynne Westra, for posting the schedules through the magic of digital media (I guess).

GOOOOOOAL!

This would be funny if it was a cat.

IN MY DREAMS

I bet I can do this.

SPRING 2006

The schedule for the Spring 2006 season is as follows:

Within the next week, registration forms will be sent to those who played in the Fall 2005 season.

The deadline for registration and the in-person registration at the Anna Junior High will be Saturday, February 11 (Valentine's Day! Oh wait...that's not Valentine's Day, but it's around there somewhere).

The team selection draw will be February 22.

Games begin March 11. Tuesday and Thursday games are scheduled to begin at 5PM until April, when the starting time will be moved to 5:30PM.

The end of the season will be April 22. No games will be scheduled from April 13- 16.

I hope to have a downloadable copy of the registration form and attached letter available on this site in the next day or two.

An apology

I'm sorry for the comment I made about Goreville. I meant....Buncombe.

Accessorize! Accessorize!

Did you know that Marc Korb played soccer in college?

Why do you think they call it Goreville?

All right...who scheduled a game in Goreville?

He shoots, he SCORES!

Next time you get a hotel room for the Sikeston tournament, make sure you ask the right questions before reserving.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year, from the management and staff of the Union County Soccer League!

Adding insult to injury, Kendall Carter beats a Pacific player to the ball AND sticks her tongue out at the beaten player. That's cold, Kendall.

Our new all-star mascot. We have to get a suit that fits David Gregg.

Le Grand Orange

Dakota Earnhart takes a corner kick at the Carbondale tournament.

The big question, though, is what the heck is going on in the back ground. Did that kid steal the ball from the grown up? Is the grown up trying to steal the ball from the kid?

Champions of the 3rd Grade Division A at Carbondale, Sikeston and Cape Girardeau! Not only did they win, they din't lose a game.

They are: (front)Colten Jerolds, John Haar, Jacob Brush, Garrett Nadeau, Joel Hardin, and Branden Duffield. (Back) Zane DeWitt, Dustin Ryan, Derek Harvel, Aaron Areola, Steven Wells, Jake Hardin, and Noah Fuller. Coaches Bindi Jerolds and Jennifer Nadeau.

They played like they had soup on their heads!!!

Iranian Soccer

I am throwing all my considerable prestige and power behind this recommendation.

Who knew that Iran even HAS a soccer team?

Brennan vs. Festus

Sure Festus can beat us, but I bet Walter Brennan can beat Festus.
